Oh hello there!

My name is Rachael, and I am currently finishing up my BA in
Graphic Design Communication from Limerick School of Art and Design.
My love for Graphic Design and Illustration started to grow around 2017. At the time, I was a musician in the local scene and naturally became a go-to person for gig posters and merch. We also just started creating a festival called Feile na Greine, which gave me the chance to work on the communications team and design merchandise. I loved making work that connected people, there’s something special about seeing someone take home a poster after a gig or wear their favourite band’s t-shirt with pride.

Having the freedom to experiment creatively helped me find my visual voice. From there, I started working at my local venue, handling social media and all kinds of design work from menus to content and photography. Eventually, I took on a designer role at a company with several venues, restaurants, and cafes, where I learned how to design for different audiences and juggle projects with various deadlines.
While I was kept busy, I wanted to push myself to become a better designer and learn more professional skills, and decided to return to college at LSAD, as I had previously gone to study Fashion Design. During my third year. I really honed my passion for motion design, identity, and editorial design. I was incredibly honoured to secure a three-month placement at Zero-G in Dublin, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience. Working alongside an amazing team, I contributed to ongoing projects and had the opportunity to present my work directly to clients. The experience taught me a lot about studio life, and the team’s enthusiasm and passion for storytelling through design truly inspired me.

As I finish my journey at LSAD, my varied experiences over the past few years have driven me to push boundaries and have equipped me with the skills that make me excited to take on new creative challenges. I'm  eager to see what the next chapter of my design career has in store and where it will take me next.
